Little Free Library
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Monday, September 26th
On Monday, September 26th, a new Little Free Library was introduced into the Worldwide Organization at Dublin Elementary School. This is a joint project of the New River Valley Reading Council, DES Microsociety, and Beans and Rice. The Library was built by Diversified Manufacturing in Dublin. This project was originally kicked off last year as a project to celebrate International Literacy Day. This year, an official ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday, September 26, 2016 to celebrate getting a charter plate with an official number representing the official entry into the Little Free Library organization.
Students, parents, teachers, and community members were present for the ceremony. The Superintendent of Pulaski County Public Schools, Dr. Kevin Siers had the honor of being the official “ribbon cutter” for the evening. Representatives from the other organizations were also present for this exciting event.
